Longevity District belongs to Chongqing Municipality, located in the central part of Chongqing Municipal territory, is one of the first batch of national demonstration zones for industrial transformation and upgrading around the metropolitan area, an important comprehensive chemical base in the western region, and a pioneer zone of co-location development in the metropolitan area of Chongqing's main city. It borders Fuling District in the southeast, Yubei District and Banan District in the southwest, Dianjiang County in the northeast, and Oishui County in Sichuan Province in the northwest. The total area is 1,423.62 square kilometers. As of the end of 2022, Changshou District had a resident population of 687,500 people. The built-up area is over 69.9 square kilometers, with an urbanization rate of 69.9% and 27 Fortune 500 companies. As of June 2023, it has 7 streets and 12 towns under its jurisdiction, with the district government stationed at No. 13, Taoyuan Avenue, Fengcheng Street.
Longevity District ancient belongs to the Ba State Hovenia, Shu Han first set Changan County, the Tang Dynasty set up Le Wen County, because of its "northeast of the longevity of the mountain, living under it, people more than Shoukou" and named, in the Ming Dynasty, Hongwu six years (1373), reset the longevity of the county in 2001, the county was abolished to set up the longevity of the district. There are famous people such as the industrialist Ba Widow Qing of the Qin Dynasty, Qiao Ding of the Song Dynasty, and Li Shoumin, the founder of modern martial arts novels. The Longevity Lake, Longevity Ancient Town and Longevity Bodhi Mountain in the district have all been awarded national AAAA level scenic spots, and at the same time, they have been selected as one of the top ten tourist resorts in Chongqing.

Among them, the added value of primary industry is 6.44 billion yuan, up 3.0%; the added value of secondary industry is 56.51 billion yuan, up 2.4%; the added value of tertiary industry is 28.92 billion yuan, up 2.9%. The structural ratio of the three industries was 7.0:61.5:31.5. GDP per capita was 133,000 yuan.
