Nanshao Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Changping District, Beijing, is located in the eastern part of Changping District, between longitude 116°15′05″~116°19′30″ East and latitude 40°10′17″~40°15′38″ North. It is neighboring with Chengnan Street and Chengbei Street in the west, bordering with Shahe Town and Baishang Town in the south, relying on Yanshan Mountain Range in the north, and connecting with Cuicun Town in the east. The town area is 35.19 square kilometers. In July 1949, Nanshao villages belonged to Changping County, Tongxian Prefecture, Hebei Province, and in July 1953, all Nanshao villages were assigned to the first district of Changping County, and four small townships, namely, Sanhezhuang, Heying, Zhanggezhuang, and Nanshao were established, and in August 1956, the small townships were abolished and Nanshao Township of Changping County was established, and in August 1958, the township was converted into Nanshao Workstation, which was part of the Thirteen Ling (Great) People's Commune. In that year, Nanshao Workstation was changed to Nanshao Management Area, belonging to Chengguan People's Commune.In June 1960, Nanshao Management Area was changed to Nanshao Brigade.In July 1961, Nanshao People's Commune was established.In April 1982, the commune was changed to township.In November 1997, the township was changed to township. As of the end of 2018, Nanshao Township had a household population of 21,690. As of June 2020, Nanshao Township has 9 communities and 16 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the township government is located in Nanshao Village, Nanshao Township, Changping District. In 2011, Nanshao town total financial revenue of 200 million yuan, an increase of 27% over the previous year. Among them, the local financial income of 58 million yuan, an increase of 38% over the previous year. From the point of view of each major tax, the completion of 49 million yuan of sales tax, value-added tax of 60 million yuan, 50 million yuan of corporate income tax, personal income tax of 15 million yuan, respectively, an increase of 40% over the previous year, 27.6%, 66.7%, 66.7%.
