Baimei Township, belonging to Firyang County, Tongling City, Anhui Province, is located in the northeastern part of Firyang County, adjacent to Qianpu Town in the east, connected with Jinsha Town in the south, neighboring with Bailiu Town in the west, and bordering with Luhe Town in Lujiang County, Hefei City in the north. The total area of the region is 44.17 square kilometers. According to the seventh census data, as of 00:00 on November 1, 2020, the resident population of Baimei Township was 10,311 people.
After the liberation in 1949, there were three townships, namely, Yixing, Huangshi and Baimei. 1961, it was Baimei People's Commune, and in April, 1984, it was Baimei Township, and the name is still in use today. As of October 31, 2021, Baimei Township has 8 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the People's Government of the township is located in Yanqian Village.
