Park Overview
The Anhui Guangde Economic Development Zone was established in July 2002. It was approved as a provincial-level development zone in February 2006 and was named the “Most Investment-Worthy Development Zone in the Yangtze River Delta” at the “Yangtze River Delta Investment and Development Forum” in October 2006.
The Anhui Guangde Economic Development Zone is located in the eastern part of Guangde County. With a planned area of 43 square kilometers, 9.5 square kilometers have been developed. The zone features specialized functional areas including high-tech, foreign trade processing, warehousing and logistics, mechanical and electronic, apparel and textiles, and commercial services.
The development zone boasts well-developed infrastructure. Nearly 800 million yuan has been invested in infrastructure construction, establishing the preliminary framework of a “nine vertical, nine horizontal” road network. Water supply and drainage systems, as well as communication fiber-optic cables, have been laid underground, and the 9.5-square-kilometer area has essentially achieved “seven utilities and one leveling.”
To date, a total of 150 projects have been signed to enter the park, including 20 foreign-funded projects. The agreed investment amounts to 7.185 billion yuan in domestic capital and 198 million USD in foreign capital. Currently, 40 enterprises have commenced production, while 33 are under construction. The park has preliminarily formed seven major specialized industrial clusters: new materials, high-end furniture, mechanical and electronic equipment, apparel, textiles, and luggage, fine chemicals, and bamboo and wood processing, as well as deep processing of agricultural by-products.
The Anhui Guangde Economic Development Zone is situated in the eastern part of Guangde County’s main urban area, at the junction of eight counties and cities across Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Anhui provinces. It stretches from the east bank of the Wuliang River in the west to the border with Zhejiang Province in the east. National Highway 318, the Shenwan Expressway, and the Wuhu-Hangzhou Railway traverse the area. Within a 280-kilometer radius of the development zone lie four provincial capitals—Shanghai, Hangzhou, Nanjing, and Hefei—as well as 16 other large and medium-sized cities. The Guangde Development Zone is 240 kilometers from Shanghai Hongqiao Airport, 180 kilometers from Nanjing Lukou Airport, 138 kilometers from Hangzhou Xiaoshan Airport, and 280 kilometers from Hefei Luogang Airport. It is just 20 kilometers from the Zhejiang Si’an Water Transport Terminal and 138 kilometers from the Hangzhou Water Transport Terminal.
